Men’s Shed
Everyone is welcome for a catch up and a cup of tea whilst learning and sharing new skills!
A Men’s Shed is a bit like a garden shed, but sociable. As the Men’s Sheds Association puts it, ‘they’re a place to pursue practical interests at leisure, to practise skills and enjoy making and mending … they’re about social connections and friendship building, sharing skills and knowledge, and of course a lot of laughter.’
The group meet formally once a week in their kitted-out workshop at the Growers Hub. The members get stuck in to a wide variety of activities, from garden benches to bird boxes, wine racks and even clocks made from old machinery.
It’s free to join and, despite the name, women are welcome too!
